 There are many people who don’t know “LEGO duplo” even though they know “LEGO”.

  Despite giving my son a Lego present, I didn’t know there was a LEGO and a LEGO Duplo. We checked only target age and purchased simply.

 “LEGO Duplo” is a block that LEGO has developed for small children.

 ↓↓↓ It’s so different.

 Duplo means “double” in Portuguese.

 The larger one on the left is LEGO Duplo, approximately 2.4 cm long x 3.1 cm wide.

 The smaller one on the right is a normal size, approximately 1.1cm long x 1.55cm wide.

  Normal size LEGO can be difficult to disassemble even for adults. For small children aged 1 to 2 years, there is no grip and there is a danger of swallowing, so those that are made “easy to use and safe” by enlarging each block will be “LEGO Duplo”.

 When giving a gift to a friend or a child aged 2 to 4 years old, you will be delighted when you present it with the “LEGO Duplo” series.

 ↑　The target age is one and a half years old, and the large green bucket in the photo is a set called “LEGO Duplo elephant Bucket 7614”.

Currently, no LEGO products are sold in buckets and are sold in boxes.

 It was easy to carry around and easy to clean up, but it is a shame because the bucket type is out of print and is not sold at present.

    If you are interested, you can get it at Auctions or Free Market , so please search for “LEGO Duplo 7614”. The new one are sold at Rakuten, but at a surprising price of over $200. (As of January 2020)

  If it costs $200, you can buy four or five Duplo products of the current model, and there are many attractive Duplo products.

 It is a cute park duplo in a large container.

 A popular block with a rotating windmill, swing, slide, shovel for playing with sand, and spring toys that move back and forth.

   It costs about 2,736 yen with such blocks and containers (as of January 2020). Price setting friendly to your wallet.

 Let’s go back to “LEGO Duplo Elephant Bucket 7614” earlier.

 The blocks are big.

 My son became an elementary school student and stopped playing at Duplo Block. When he was 2-3 years old,

 “Pa-ooon, Pa-ooon(elephant)”

 “Gauuu(lion)”

   My son was often playing with the elephant and the lion. It was cute.

 Because it is strong, it will not be broken even if small children handle it roughly.

 And it is common to LEGO products, but the letters “LEGO” are engraved on each block.

 The upper left photo is engraved on the male foot of the Park Ranger, and the upper right photo is engraved on the elephant’s foot.

 Recently, there are many compatible products (fake), so please be careful especially when purchasing at the flea market.

 One of the great things about Lego Duplo is that you can play it with a normal size Lego.

  Depending on the shape of the block, there are some that cannot be combined well, but the shape in the photo above is OK.

  Speaking of which, LEGO products are often taken up as educational toys.

To be honest, my first LEGO is a gift for my son as one of the toys. I wasn’t conscious of LEGO, and when I realized it was “LEGO.”

It was a pleasure to see my son assemble seriously and a happy smile when completed. 

I am currently enjoying LEGO as a tool for communication between me and children, but it is especially recommended for small children. 

It is important to make a LEGO product for children aged 8 to 10 for children aged 6 and a product for children aged 10 to 15 for a child aged 7.
